Florals and Botanicals

 

I am a nature lover. Growing up in the country, Smyrna, GA,  and seeing the beauty of just plain nature,  struck me with awe and wonder. When my parents were looking for me when I was a child, they would find me in the woods, splashing in the creek,

or hiding under the shade of the muscadine arbor in our back yard.

 

Trying to capture this grace and boldness is a constant yearning for me. Many of my florals are from photos I took in my garden. When I camp, I look for plants and flowers to sketch and photograph.The following watercolors are a labor of love. I hope the feeling of love and joy will be shared with all who view my paintings.
